For this reason, our mineral sunscreens use only non-nano zinc oxide and non-nano titanium dioxide as active ingredients. Non-nano zinc oxide and titanium dioxide (i.e., mineral active ingredients) are better for the marine environment because their particle sizes are large enough to not impact the reefs.
